Banquet Keynote

Delivering the keynote address at Saturday night's NOVA Baseball Magazine / Home Plate Club Awards & Hall of Fame Banquet will be former Major League pitcher Mike Wallace, who pitched for four clubs over five seasons before retiring in 1979 after leading Madison High School to a state title in 1968.

Northern Virginia Baseball Media Day

March 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Local media is invited to attend the Northern Virginia Baseball Media Day, which will feature a press conference and breakout sessions with the top high school players from our area and the coaches from the NOVA Baseball Magazine's preseason Northern Virginia Top 10 Poll. Also in attendance and available for interviews will be former Major League players from Northern Virginia, who will have attended the 'Meet the Pro's' forum with local youth players earlier in the evening. Coaches Social at O'Malley's Sports Pub & Grill

March 12 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

All coaches attending the First Pitch Weekend events are invited to join us for a coaches social at O'Malley's Sports Pub & Grill, which is attached to the Holiday Inn Dulles and located across the hall from where the weekend events are held. No registration, cost or notice is required, and we hope all attending coaches will join us!

NOVA Baseball Magazine / Home Plate Club Awards & Hall of Fame Banquet

April 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

For 55 years, the Washington D.C. Home Plate Club existed as a way to promote the game and honor the area's players and coaches. This year, the Home Plate Club makes its return with its 2017 Hall of Fame Class, which will be inducted at a banquet that will also feature HPC and NOVA Baseball Magazine awards, a keynote address from former Major League pitcher Mike Wallace, and the humor and sports wit of 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier of the 'Grant & Danny Show'.
